Oakley’s MotoGP Superstar, Valentino Rossi, displayed yet again what a racing phenomenon he truly is this past weekend – smashing a field of some of the world’s top rally car drivers to emerge victorious at the Monza Rally Show. The result was his third all-time win at the event. Dazzling more than 30,000 raucous fans in the Milan region, the seven-time GP World Champion racked up two victories for Team VR46 Racing (Oakley-Monster) in his WRC (World Rally Championship)-Spec Ford Fiesta – taking the Stage Rally and the Master Show. Clipping Rinaldo Capello by 2.8 seconds, it was yet another showcase of his competitive gift for dominating tracks even out of his primary sport. The sheer elation from the event added to an already positive swing in momentum for the Italian speed demon – who recently switched back to the Yamaha MotoGP Team after struggling through a Championship drought.
